One of my favorite yarn companies (Classic Elite Yarn) and one of my favorite designers (and 2014 contestant in the Fiber Factor), Talitha Kuomi, joining up to create a new book? Color me delighted!! We are all so very different, with varying ideas of style, design, and fashion. In Artistic Differences, Talitha spins her imagination and skill into projects that emphasize how special diversity really is.

The collaboration between the two seems to be a beautiful match with Talitha’s musically-inspired designs, crafted with spectacular stitch patterns and mesmerizing textures, blending perfectly with the rich, soft yarns from Classic Elite. Talitha has a musical/performing background, so she explores the realms of two different styles in this book – those of a bohemian, acoustic preference and an edgy, rocker look. There are 10 projects in the book, but the options grow from Talitha’s unique aspect of customization and alternatives.
For example, Chroma is a stunning shrug with a dramatic collar and sleeves. I can absolutely see myself knitting this cute thing up, paring it with some comfy jeans and a sassy little shirt. The Boho version sports a cropped back, while the Rocker version is much longer (to the hips). Whichever style you choose, the resulting effect is fabulous! Talitha expands on the customization idea by offering tips for a longer, more striking collar. The simple knits and purls of this piece do a beautiful job of highlighting the divine twist and texture of the merino yarn!
Each piece in the book is written up in the same way, with two different options and additional tips for experimentation. Every one of Talitha’s gorgeous designs truly shine.
So! Some freaking awesome news about this kick-ass collection:
