Yarn Play: Yellowstone - www.tabethahedrick.comI’ve got a confession to make.

I love Taylor Swift.

…ducking…

Her newest song, Style, has me feeling that James Dean daydream feeling … soft, casual, nostalgic feelings that never really fade, reminding us of those sweet moments of yesterday.

It’s like home. Comforting. Timeless. Never going out of style.

Fibers and textures that we turn to again and again because it has a hold on our hearts as much as the 80s does (go ahead, admit it!).

Like the combo of wool and silk: a luxurious, multifaceted, lustrous blend that goes the distance. One that makes our hearts melt with delight and nostalgia.

I’m particularly in love with the dreamy Yellowstone by Stitch Sprouts right now, with its creamy, soft twist that eases across the hands like the gentle drag of the waves from the shore.

And you can’t go wrong with just about any stitch, especially those classics like cables or lace.

It’s blissful. Velvety. Like Taylor Swift’s songs, it’ll never go out of style. One you’ll pull out again and again.Yarn Play: Yellowstone - www.tabethahedrick.com

Yarn Play: Yellowstone - www.tabethahedrick.comI can close my eyes and imagine being wrapped up in a Yellowstone blanket while sitting on the beach during the end days of summer. The sun is going down, a soft breeze picks up, my toes dig into the sand, and I am comforted, warm, the easy lap of the waves reminding me of my youth … those memories, that feeling…

Yeah, I’m feeling pretty poetic this morning. So laugh away! But, I can’t help it; I get gushy around yummy yarn and it makes me do gushy things. Check back in tomorrow and I’ll happily share my stitch pattern with you! In the meantime, though, what yarns have you used that make you feel all nostalgic?
