I played with two decidedly different, yet equally spectacular yarns this week from Mrs. Crosby, featuring a subtle leaf stitch pattern. Columned eyelets stand out amid the fabric of decreases and stockinette for a result that is light, lively, and deliciously simple. I’d wager we can all learn a lesson from the relaxed notion this lace exudes; nothing is forced or over-thought. When you have a worry that you keep turning over and over in your mind, it helps to sit back and breathe it out with a mindful perspective. This subtle leaf, with its repetitive pattern and gentle movement, brings out that exact awareness….
Set-up Row (WS): Purl.
Row 1 (RS): K1, yo, k2tog, k3, ssk, yo.
Rows 2, 4, 6, and 8: Purl.
Row 3: K2, yo, k2tog, k1, ssk, yo, k1.
Row 5: K3, yo, s2kp, yo, k2.
Row 7: K1, k2tog, k1, [yo, k1] twice, ssk.
Rows 8 – 13: Repeat Rows 6 – 7.
