First, sk2p means: slip the next stitch knitwise, then knit two stitches together and pass the slipped stitch over.

Rows 2, 4, and 6 (WS): Purl.
Row 3: K1, *k1, yo, sk2p, yo, k2; rep from * to end.
Row 5: K1, *k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, k1; rep from * to end.
Row 7: K2tog, *yo, k3, yo, sk2p; rep from * to last 6 sts, yo, k3, yo, ssk.
Row 8: Purl.
